Finer Peripherals

Finer Peripherals is a Fabric version of the Better Peripherals mod (available on CurseForge). It allows me to throw things at it and call it good, similar to the original mod but specifically designed for Fabric.

Additions

• Chat Box – A peripheral similar to Advanced Peripherals's chat box, enabling interaction with in-game chat.

• Compass Turtle – A new type of turtle that provides directional information, helping players determine the turtle's facing direction.

• Geo Explorer – A block scanner similar to Advanced Peripherals's geo scanner, but with additional functionality. It can sense specific blockstates, including:

  • Horizontal Facing: Detects orientation along the X and Z axes.
  • Vertical Direction: Identifies vertical block alignment.
  • Half: Recognizes blockstates like top/bottom slabs and top/bottom stairs.
  • Axis: Senses block orientation for logs and similar blocks.
  • Powered and Power Level: Detects redstone-powered states and power levels.

• Event Relayer - A new type of modem, a "Final Tier" as you could say. Allows you to send messages to specific computer ID! Seems unbalanced, but I balanced it:

  • Recipe is harder
  • Cannot broadcast to all IDs
  • Cannot listen into other IDs
  • Is neither "Opened" or "Closed"

New Additions

• Holographic Item Display - Essentially a digital item frame
  • has setItem() function, usage: setItem("minecraft:dirt")

Extra Notes

This mod was created because I felt that Fabric was missing several common peripherals found in Forge mods. Additionally, there were certain peripherals, like the Compass Turtle, that I felt were essential and needed.
